On 3 November 2017 the Tree of Life community held their final All Partners meeting for the year. The occasion was particularly special as we also held a graduation ceremony for 39 new Community-Based Facilitators. To date over 130 survivors from 16 communities have completed their training as Trauma Healing and Empowerment Facilitators. They have undergone an intensive training process (for 2 years or more) and are now able to support their respective communities on their healing journeys. During the event some facilitators shared powerful testimonies of personal transformation and community reconciliation, as a result of working with Tree of Life. Over 130 people graced the occasion, including CSO partners and some special invited guests. Also present at the occasion were over 30 young people who are part of our Youth Empowerment for Peace Project (YEPP). Together we celebrated the new members to “the Big Tree”, as well as our combined achievement of conducting 268 healing and empowerment workshops for 2200 people in 2017, as well as 45 Psychoeducation workshops for 450 people.
